Allison Yasukawa, Lecturer in Art & Design
Discipline: Art Theory and Practice
In her studio practice Allison Yasukawa explores themes of social encounter and the politics and performances of identity. She holds an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BA in Art and Integrated International Studies from Knox College. Her work has been shown at spaces including Gallery 400, Chicago; University Galleries, Normal, IL; and NEXT Art Fair, Chicago. In the summer of 2010 she co-chaired a panel at the Performance Studies International Conference (PSi 16) in Toronto, Canada. Allison lives and works in Chicago.
