Jessi Scurte, Lecturer in Art & Design
Discipline: Graphic Design
As an artist and graphic designer, Jessi Scurte has worked in the creative industry for eight years, recently expanding her interests to teaching at the secondary and post-secondary levels. A BFA in graphic design from Iowa State University and MA in education from the University of Phoenix combine Jessi’s two passions—design and teaching. She has been hired to create brands and establish identities; design marketing materials, magazines, and posters; and conceive new interactive experiences including websites and emails. Through these opportunities, Jessi has partnered with big and small companies such as Mayo Clinic, University of Chicago, United Way, Cargill, Mill Creek Market, University of Wisconsin, Mosquito Brewing Company, Sara Lee, Geneva High School, and Mid Iowa Health Foundation. Jessi’s design work has been featured in many publications including HOW magazine, Print magazine, American Corporate Identity, 1,000 Package Designs, Big Book of Self Promotion, and an upcoming book, Trademarks USA.
