Paul is an artist and musician who lives and works in Chicago, Illinois. His studio practice employs sculpture, screen-printing, collecting, and photography in an effort to research and explore the architectural and sociological history of Chicago. As a self-taught musician, Paul plays drums in the Chicago-based band “Mayor Daley”.
In May 2010, Paul presented a solo exhibition entitled “New Clear Winter” at Plaines Project in Chicago, IL. He also conducted a month-long residency at ACRE (Artist’s Cooperative Residencies and Exhibitions) in southwestern Wisconsin.
While serving as Chair of the Department of Art & Design since fall 2009, Paul is Assistant Professor of Art & Design, specializing in applied studio courses: drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking. Paul earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in “Painting & Drawing” from Northern Illinois University in 1998, and his Master of Fine Arts in “Painting & Drawing” from The Ohio State University in 2000.
