The USF Guitar Ensemble is an opportunity for students of all skill levels to play together in an ensemble environment for one credit hour. Music will cover all genres from rock to classical and everything in between. Students will learn basic scales and improvisational techniques as well as improve their skills reading notes and chord progressions. Students will be broken up by genre preference and skill level and required to rehearse weekly. At the end of each semester there will be a short performance for friends and family to attend. Students are required to bring their own equipment: guitars, picks, amplifiers, effects pedals, etc. Toward the end of each semester a percussion section may be added to enhance concert repertoire if needed.
Students with questions may contact Dr. Patrick Brannon at firstname.lastname@example.org or 815-740-3219.
Practices are held on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Choral Room of the Moser Performing Arts Center.
