Graduate Admission Requirements

Admission to the University of St. Francis as a graduate student in the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Training and Development, Master of Science in Health Services Administration, and the Master of Science in Management require the following:

Master of Education with Teacher Certification requires the following:


• application for admission and essay
• application fee
• transcripts documenting the undergraduate degree
• cumulative undergraduate G.P.A. of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale
• 2.75 G.P.A. in teachable area (English/language arts, mathematics, science: biology or social science: history)
• two letters of recommendation
• technology competency (coursework or demonstrated competencies in computer literacy)
• pass the Illinois State Board of Education Basic Skills Test
• complete the USF Subject Matter Knowledge Matrix (secondary only)

Students may begin the admission process and register for the first class while completing the above during the first month of enrollment. However, the above requirements must be satisfied for eligibility for financial assistance. Students will be granted official admission to the College of Education upon receipt and approval of the above requirements. Conditional admission will be granted pending completion of the first semester’s course. Full admission to the College of Education will be granted upon review and completion of the first semester’s course with the minimum grade of “B”.
