Board Members & Profiles
Judith
Bulat (B.B.A.'72):
Class
of '72 accounting major, is a CPA currently employed by the
Internal Revenue Service. After nearly 31 years with the IRS,
Judy is currently an International Technical Advisor on the
staff of the Commissioner of the Large and Mid-Size Business
Division. Judy's specialty is Financial Products and Transactions;
and, she is also responsible for some of the listed tax shelter
transactions. As a past president and current board member
of the USF Alumni Association, Judy looks forward to meeting
many other business alums.
Bruno Avila (B.B.A. '02)
Richard Hagen (B.B.A. '90): Graduated summa cum laude from USF (then known as College of St. Francis) in 1990; while at St. Francis was Vice President of SGA, member of Business Club, a Resident Assistant, member of President's Host Society and a Security Guard; became a Certified Public Accountant in 1991 and worked for Clifton Gunderson LLC (public accounting firm) for approximately 4 years; graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1997 and worked for the law firm of Spesia, Ayers & Ardough (in Joliet) for a year, worked for the Chicago law firm of Chapman and Cutler for 2 years and now work for the international law firm of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw (which has its world headquarters in Chicago) in the corporate and securities department; I've been a member of the Alumni Board for about 10 years; I play in the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra; I sing in the choir and co-lead the youth "Praise Band" at the United Methodist Church of New Lenox; hobbies and interests include golf, reading and music.
Mark Midlock
(B.B.A. '85): Bachelor in Business Administration
1985. I am currently an Assistant Vice President and Senior
Auditor in the Corporate Audit Department at Harris Bank.
I worked at First National Bank of Joliet for seventeen years
prior to the bank merging with Harris Bank. Most of my career
has been in the Audit function but I have also been a loan
officer and was involved in teller operations. I am currently
a member of the USF Alumni Board and am a charter member of
the USF Business Alumni Network.
Suzi Slifka
(B.B.A. '02): "I graduated from USF in 2002 with
a degree in Finance. Since then I have been working as an
Investment Representative at Scudder Investments, in Chicago.
I'm excited to be helping with the Business Alumni Network
and look forward to meeting other
alumni."

Faculty Members
Frank Wyrostek:
Associate Professor of Finance in the Business Administration
Department. He has taught at the University of St. Francis
for 16 years. His Ph.D. and MBA in Finance are from Loyola
University Chicago. His interests include finding ways to
bridge the gap between the practical aspects of financial
management with the classroom experience.
