Nelson, Lois A. 2001 (BS, Health Arts) is a registered nurse working in the gastroenterology department at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. She published her first article in “EndoNurse” magazine in February, 2010 titled “The Redesign of a GI Suite From a Staff Nurse Perspective”. She was chosen as one of Iowa’s 100 Greatest Nurses in 2011 and as the winner of the Innovation and Excellence Award for Nurses at Mary Greeley Medical Center. She is also the chair for the Nursing Education Council, a member of the SME (subject matter expert) of the electronic health record system, a “super user” of the EHR system and is celebrating 37 years of marriage.

Covey, Brian E. 2009 (MS, Educational Leadership) is the Visual and Performing Arts Chairman, in addition to serving as Director of Bands, at Lockport Township High School. While maintaining the Band Department, he conducts the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and one of two Freshman concert ensembles. His instructional roles also include overseeing the Marching Porters, Pep Band, the Jazz Program, and conducting the Pit Orchestra.Mr. Covey has served as an adjudicator for many regional and Illinois High School Association Solo and Ensemble Contests.He holds seven Citations of Excellence from the National Band Association, has been chosen five times as “Who’s Who Among American Teachers,” serves on the National Band Association’s Selective Music Committee, been awarded the “Chicagoland Educator of the Year” from Quinlan and Fabish Music, the “Mildred Jackson Lockport Township High School Teacher of the Year Award”.
