1956 JoAnn (DeSandre) Drake is retired from teaching and enjoying time spent with friends and family and doing volunteer work.
1960 Shelby (Brown) Vogrin is married with four children and eight grandchildren. She is a retired teacher who is enjoying traveling and volunteering.
1961 Sr. Leomarie (Janet) Luecke entered the Sisters of St. Francis in 1957, received the name Sister Leomarie in 1958 and made her first Profession of vows in 1960. She is celebrating her Golden Jubilee on June 19th along with 11 classmates, 11 sisters celebrating 60 years, 4 celebrating 75 years and 1 sister celebrating 25 years.
1971 Marilyn (Halloran) Missel is currently the Associate Superintendant of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois.
1971 Judith (Jerger) Schatz retired in 2009 after 36 years of teaching Kindergarten. To celebrate, she and her husband, Art, went on a cruise to Alaska. In September, she and CSF friends, Mary Moy Cruz and Lu Herrmann Rossi reunited in California to celebrate their birthdays. Judy, Mary and Lu are looking forward to their 40th class reunion in 2011.
1973 Nancy (Thomas) Lindsey continues to teach 5th through 8th grade Spanish in Littleton, Colorado. She also coaches the Speech Team at her school.
1978, 2006 Sharon (Engel) Larson temporarily retired from home health care nursing this year. She has been motivated to look at how she can positively impact the future of health care.
1979 Debbie (Lardi) Wollgast is the mother of five and “Nona” of two beautiful grandchildren. She and her husband, Dave, have been married for 31 very happy years. Debbie is currently working as a Teacher’s Associate at Minooka Elementary School in Minooka, Illinois.
1980 Karen Johler was recently promoted to Manager Minor Procedures at Kaiser Permanente – Franklin Medical Clinic.
1981 Chris Dorre is currently a Special Education teacher at SOWIC Ed Center.
1983 Kathleen Fitzgerald recently began working at a family owned machining shop in Bristol, Wisconsin as an administrative assistant. She had been out of work for over three years and getting back into the routine of a full time job has been a welcome transition. This work was made possible through her involvement with the Ticket To Work program which is run by Social Security and assists people with disabilities gradually transition back into the work force. She is truly enjoying this job and enjoys feeling like a useful part of the work force once again. She is also planning her wedding with her fiancé in the Lake Geneva area where they live.
1985 Bessie (Hall) Outman will this summer, after many years in various nursing fields, be the camp nurse for the visually impaired (from children to adults).
1987 Kristin (Herbert) Folcik is married with twins, a boy and a girl, who were born in 2003. She currently works for Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida as a Registered Nurse.
1990 H. Richard Hagen recently accepted a position at the law firm of Spesia & Ayers in Joliet, Illinois. As an attorney with Spesia & Ayers, he practices in the areas of family business planning, estate planning, probate, banking, corporate-business law, commercial and residential real estate, and business litigation.
1990 Steve Ruedinger is currently the Vice President of Medical Group for Community Health Network in Berlin, Wisconsin.
1991 Michael McCann has been teaching High School English for the past 8 years overseas; 4 years in Venezuela and now 4 in Honduras.
1991 Susan (Page) Rosenberg recently accepted a new position with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Public Welfare as a registered nurse.
1991 Darlene Weber is enjoying retirement and her two grandchildren.
1992 Ruth McGinley is currently Professor of Physical Education and Professor of Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management at Harrisburg Area Community College in Pennsylvania.
1993 Russelle (Peitzmeyer) Holsinger is currently the President of the Grundy Bar Association, Vice President of Angels of Hope, Inc. and Partner at Holsinger Meents, LTD., Attorneys at law.
1996 Mark Hearn has a new position at Progressive Rehabilitation Associates in Iowa City, Iowa and was married in March of 2010 to Tina.
1997 Helen (DeCrane) Roth reared 3 children, has 11 grandchildren and soon will welcome a 12th great-grandchild. She enjoys singing in her church praise groups and teaching youth in Sunday School.
1997 Cynthia Salem is currently the Lytic Medical Science Liaison Manager for Genentech, a member of the Roche Company.
1998 Janet Eisenberg has been a registered nurse since 1974 and earned my B.S.H.A. from USF. She feels that earning her degree at USF was a very important and worthwhile achievement for her. She has spent the last six years as a Hospice nurse, and recently started a new position as a Hospice Case Manager.
1998 Matthew Schwartz has been working in the Diocese of Rockford Education Office since 2004. He is currently the Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry. Prior to coming to the Diocese, he was the campus minister at Boylan Central Catholic High School in Rockford for six years. In 2006, he received a MA in Theology and Ministry from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. He and his wife, Julie, married in 1998 and have three children.
1999 Bryan Fonseca is currently a Sales Consultant for Repco Associates, Inc. in Illinois.
2001 Katherine Gourley is currently a Medical Writer for Astellas Pharma US, Inc.
2001 Priscilla (Ruth) Hook is currently a Wellness/Disease Management Nurse at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois.
2001 Colleen Moody has recently married a wonderful man and gained two stepsons. She is teaching 4th grade at Chaney Monge in Crest Hill and loves it.
2004 Kenneth Carrell received a life saving lung transplant in 2008 at the age of 54. His condition was so serious that when Loyola listed him for a transplant, it took less than three days before he was called in for the procedure. He states that he is so thankful to his donor and feels very fortunate for every day he has. To all fellow and future alumni Kenneth writes “Enjoy each day and don’t worry. There are many things that are not in your control.”
2005 Raymond Kasper moved to Connecticut in January for his wife’s promotion and is looking for a new teaching position for the coming year.
2006 Kathryn (Nelson) Clayton had her third child in November of 2009.
2008 Kim (Roesel) Reese was appointed Corporate VP – Human Resources with Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. In her role, she is responsible for leading and coordinating the company’s HR functions to provide an employee-focused, high performance culture.
2009 Katrina Crone is currently working as an Executive Assistant in the Office of Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow.
2009 Donna Woodling has three children, two of which graduated in 2009 with RN degrees. Her third is a Green Beret. She has five grandchildren and in December of 2009 became ANCC board certified as nurse executive. She has been an RN for forty years with wide variety of experiences such as ICU-staff development, head nurse and department head of 32 bed cardiac stepdown unit.
