TEST ANXIETY"Fear
is nature's warning sign to get busy."
Henry C. Link
- keep irregular hours
- pull all-nighters
- eat junk food
- use drugs or alcohol (they will impair your ability to think clearly)
- cram too much information in at the last minute
It DOES help to:
- prepare ahead (start at least a week before the exam)
- cover all the material given, including class notes, handouts, quizzes, and textbook readings
- use chunks of time (for example, study 50 minutes and take a 10 minute break). Short, regular study periods are more effective than lengthy sessions; your brain needs time to rehearse the information
- sleep
- eat healthy food
