PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Samantha Lovato, Saint Xavier University
Senior Shortstop/Eisenhower H.S./Oak Forest, IL
Lovato batted .400 and drove in 15 runs for the Cougars, who went 8-2 on the week, including 4-0 in league affairs. Lovato hit safely and scored at least one run in eight of the 10 games she played in. Ten of Lovato's 15 RBIs came in the confernce contests, including seven in a doubleheader sweep of Trinity Christian College. Lovato also authored four extra-base hits (2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run) among her 12 total hits on the week She also coaxed four walks and stole six bases.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Amanda Lite, Robert Morris College
Freshman Right-Handed Pitcher/Hinsdale Central H.S./Westmont, IL
Lite earned the distinction for the second week in a row after securing each of Robert Morris' four victories during the Eagles' 4-1 week. Lite went 4-0 gaining two complete-game victories and another two in relief with three of the wins coming against league opponents. Lite also allowed just one earned run in 17 innings pitched against conference foes (0.41 ERA) and four earned runs total in 23 innings (1.22). She also averaged better than one strikeout per inning, setting down 24 batters in the 23 innings.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Barker, Saint Xavier University
Senior Outfielder/Marian Catholic H.S./Chicago Heights, IL
Barker captured the honor for the second time in three weeks after authoring a .600 batting average and .933 slugging percentage in Saint Xavier University's 3-1 week. Barker hit safely in all four games with three multi-hit contests and a pair of three-hit games. All told, she registered nine hits in 15 official plate appearances with one double and two triples. She also produced four runs, three runs batted in and one stolen base.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Amanda Lite, Robert Morris College
Freshman Right-Handed Pitcher/Hinsdale Central H.S./Westmont, IL
Lite struck out 16 batters and did not allow an earned run in 16 innings of work in posting a 4-0 shutout of Trinity Christian College and a 9-2 victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph, IN. In the first game, Lite struck out seven batters, while scattering four hits and three walks. Against Calumet, she yielded just three hits and struck out nine against one walk. Lite also helped herself at the plate in the latter affair, going 1-for-3 and driving in three runs.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lynley Louzensky, University of St. Francis
Freshman First Baseman/Tinley Park H.S./Oak Forest, IL
Louzensky authored a pair of three-hit games and drove in three runs, while scoring four times herself in University of St. Francis' 10-0 and 15-7 doubleheader sweep of Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN) in the Saints' only two games played on the week. Louzensky started her big day going 3-for-3 with a single, double and triple, while both scoring and driving in two runs in the opener. In the second game, she went 3-for-5 with another two runs scored. All told, she batted .750 on the day, while also turning in a 1.125 slugging percentage.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Kerri Watt, University of St. Francis
Senior Right-Handed Pitcher/Lincoln-Way Central H.S./New Lenox, IL
Watt worked double-time in University of St. Francis' 10-0 and 15-7 victories over Calumet College of St. Joseph, earning both wins in USF's lone two games over the seven-day period. Watt registered a five-inning shutout in the opener before coming on in relief to notch the second-game win. In the first game, she scattered three hits, while striking out eight. In Game 2, she worked the final 3.1 innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs. She also struck out another four batters, giving her 12 K's against no walks in 8 1/3 innings on the day.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Nicole Barker, Saint Xavier University
Senior Outfielder/Marian Catholic H.S./Chicago Heights, IL
Barker produced multiple hits in each of Saint Xavier University's four games on the week en route to an incredible .786 batting average with 11 hits in 14 official plate appearances. To start off the week, Barker went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate in a 3-0 win over Purdue University North Central (IN). She also scored three runs and drove in another four, to go along with two stolen bases in the Cougars' perfect 4-0 week.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Ashley Shearer, Saint Xavier University
Junior Pitcher/Beecher H.S./Beecher, IL
Shearer allowed only two hits in two performances on the mound, both of which were conference shutouts (3-0 vs. Purdue University North Central, IN and 11-0 vs. Calumet College of St. Joseph, IN). In the latter affair, Shearer registered a perfect game, striking out nine of the 15 batters she faced in the five-inning contest. For the two games, she struck out 13 against only one walk in 12 innings of work.
