JOLIET, Ill. -- University of St. Francis head football coach Mike Uremovich announces the signing of two Florida high school seniors to letter-of-intent to attend USF and play for the Saints next fall.

Wade Bethel (5-10, 210), a defensive lineman from Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Fla., and Justin Riverol (6-0, 217), a linebacker from East Ridge High School in Clermont, Fla., will both enroll at USF this coming August.

Bethel is a three-time football letterman and a four-year wrestling standout for the Gladiators of Gibbs H.S. He earned second-team all-conference recognition as a senior in football and also was selected as his wrestling team’s Most Valuable Player.

Bethel's senior football statistics include 68 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery.

Riverol is a three-time letterman for the East Ridge Knights where he played a number of positions (linebacker, defensive end, offensive line, fullback, deep snapper). He helped lead his squad to a 7-3 record as a senior in 2006. He earned all-area mention from the Orlando Sentinel and all-Lake County honors each of his last three seasons. East Ridge placed third in the state his sophomore and junior seasons and 5th this past fall.
