SAINTS SIGN ADAM BILLMEYER

University of St. Francis head men’s golf coach Paul Downey has announced the signing of Andrew High School senior Adam Billmeyer to a letter of intent.

Billmeyer, who has lettered in baseball at Andrew in addition to golf, averaged 39.4 strokes per nine holes this past fall. He fired rounds of 77, 78 and 81 at the most recent Illiniois Junior Golf Association tournament.

Billmeyer helped lead Andrew to a 12-4 record and a berth in the 2006 Regionals as a senior.

At St. Francis, Billmeyer joins a program that captured its 11th Northern Illinois Intercollegiate Golf Conference championship in Downey’s 12 years as head coach.
