November 6, 2007

JOLIET -- University of St. Francis senior forward Chris Hobson (Eisenhower H.S./Blue Island, Ill.) wasted little time getting in mid-season form, tying a career-high with 28 points in an 89-65 victory over Purdue University Calumet (Ind.) to nail down Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Division I Player of the Week honors for the week ending November 4.

Hobson converted 10 of his 14 field goal attempts and all eight of his free throws in the Saints’ season opener on Thursday night at the Kettle Classic in Hammond, Ind..  He also recorded two assists, a pair of steals and one rebound in USF’s lone contest of the week.
