MAGANA EARNS ALL-CCAC RECOGNITION

University of St. Francis senior defender Manny
Magana (East Aurora HS/Yorkville, IL) was
the lone Saints representative on the Chicagoland
Collegiate Athletic Conference post-season honors
team.
Magana
was one of 13 players who earned honorable mention
in a vote of league coaches. There were an additional
14 players named to the All-CCAC first team.
This
marked the third straight year that Magana
earned All-CCAC honorable mention recognition.
He started all 17 matches for the Saints this
year and was the clubs top defender. He
also had one assist.
Magana
scored 10 points on four goals and a pair of assists
as a junior in 2004. He was a four-year starter
for the Saints.
"Manny
gave us great leadership on defense," said
USF head coach Mario Dukovac. "I never
had to worry about his effort or his performance.
He is a key player that we will have to replace
in 2006."
Dukovacs
Saints finished the 2005 season with an 8-9 overall
record and a 2-6 mark in the CCAC.
