University
of St. Francis sophomore second baseman
Jamie Redman (Lincoln-Way Central
HS/New Lenox, IL) has been
named to the NAIA Region VII 18-member
honor squad for the second consecutive
season.
Redman
led USF in hitting for the second year
in a row, finishing the season with
a .469 batting average. That mark tied
the second-best single-season average
in school history. She also topped the
team in hits (69), doubles (21, a USF
record), total bases (109), slugging
percentage (.741), stolen bases (14)
and runs scored (54).
Redman
was the lone USF player to be named
to the all-region team and joined eight
other Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic
Conference players on the list. She
had been named a first-team all-CCAC
pick a week ago, joining teammates Jaci
Warner (Plainfield Central HS/Crest
Hill, IL) and Stacy Schultz (Romeoville
HS/Joliet, IL) on that squad.
