For Immediate Release
May 11, 2007

University of St. Francis junior second baseman Jamie Redman (Lincoln-Way Central HS/New Lenox, IL) has been named to the NAIA Region VII 18-member honor squad for the third consecutive season.

Redman led USF in hitting for the third year in a row, finishing the season with a .415 batting average. She also topped the team in hits (61), home runs (5), triples (5), total bases (93), slugging percentage (.633), stolen bases (11) and runs scored (42).

Redman was the lone USF player to be named to the all-region team and joined eight other Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference players on the list. She had been named a first-team all-CCAC pick a week ago, joining teammate Jaci Warner (Plainfield Central HS/Crest Hill, IL) on that squad. Freshman catcher Stacy Heap (Minooka H.S./Minooka, IL) earned honorable mention all-CCAC recognition.
