WARNER NAMED CCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For Immediate Release
April 26, 2005

After compiling a .474 batting average, three home runs, 11 RBIs and four runs scored in six games during the seven-day period ending Sunday (April 24), University of St. Francis sophomore third baseman Jaci Warner (Plainfield Central H.S./Crest Hill, IL) was selected as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Warner hit safely in five of the six games en route to going 9-for-19 at the plate. She had three multi-hit and four multi-RBI games in addition to producing a 1.000 slugging percentage.

Warner tallied three hits, including a home run, as well as all three of USF’s RBIs in a 4-3 loss to Olivet Nazarene University on April 18. Three days later, she knocked in three runs in both games of a doubleheader against Judson College.

With her totals for the week, Warner took over the conference lead in RBIs (47), while moving up to second in home runs (11) and fourth in batting average (.402).

USF, which went 4-2 in the six-game stretch, is 23-21 overall and 9-5 in the CCAC.
