WARNER NAMED CCAC
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For

After
compiling a .474 batting average, three
home runs, 11 RBIs and four runs scored
in six games during the seven-day period
ending Sunday (April 24), University
of St. Francis sophomore third baseman
Jaci Warner (Plainfield Central H.S./Crest
Hill, IL) was selected as the Chicagoland
Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball
Player of the Week.
Warner
hit safely in five of the six games
en route to going 9-for-19 at the plate.
She had three multi-hit and four multi-RBI
games in addition to producing a 1.000
slugging percentage.
Warner
tallied three hits, including a home
run, as well as all three of USFs
RBIs in a 4-3 loss to Olivet Nazarene
University on April 18. Three days later,
she knocked in three runs in both games
of a doubleheader against Judson College.
With
her totals for the week, Warner
took over the conference lead in RBIs
(47), while moving up to second in home
runs (11) and fourth in batting average
(.402).
USF,
which went 4-2 in the six-game stretch,
is 23-21 overall and 9-5 in the CCAC.
