LADY SAINTS ADD RUPSIS TO SOFTBALL LINEUP
For Immediate Release
January 11, 2007

JOLIET, Ill. -- Three-time all-conference catcher Carolyn Rupsis (Bolingbrook H.S./Bolingbrook, IL) has announced that she will attend University of St. Francis and play softball for head coach Dick Smith and the Lady Saints beginning in the fall of 2007.

Rupsis, a career .289 hitter, made it official with her signing of a letter of intent from the Joliet-based school.

A three-time all-area selection of the Bolingbrook Reporter and a two-time Joliet Herald News third-team all-area selection, Rupsis will be looking to make it a clean four-year sweep of all-conference honors when she takes the field for the Raiders this coming spring. A varsity performer since her freshman campaign, she garnered all-league plaudits from the SICA North Conference each of her first two seasons before gaining the same recognition in the SouthWest Suburban Conference - Blue Division last year.

Rupsis, who also plays in the school’s symphonic winds and jazz bands, boasts a 3.70 cumulative grade point average leading to first honors honor-roll status at Bolingbrook.

She plans on majoring in political science/pre-law at St. Francis.
