JOLIET, Ill. --- For the second time this season, University of St. Francis players have swept all three weekly volleyball awards in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Senior outside hitter Lisa Klein (Hall H.S./Ladd, IL), sophomore setter Kelsey Polte (Hall H.S./Spring Valley, IL) and senior libero Kelly Zebron (La Salle-Peru H.S./Oglesby, IL) have earned the player, setter and libero honors for the week ending Oct. 6.

Klein and Polte were also part of the threesome that won the league’s trio of awards back on the week ending Sept. 8. They were joined then by junior libero Courtney Ambrosch (Joliet Township H.S./Joliet, IL).

The Lady Saints splits six matches on the week but won both CCAC bouts over Judson and Trinity International.

Klein, who now has been named the CCAC Player of the Week three times in seven weeks, led USF with an average of 4.52 kills over the six matches. She posted a week-high total of 22 kills in a three-game sweep over TIU in Joliet on Thursday.

Polte averaged 10.0 assists per game and had 35 in a three-game loss to William Jewell (MO) this past weekend at the Lindenwood University tournament.

Zebron enjoyed a fine week filling in at the libero spot for the injured Ambrosch. She averaged 5.48 digs per game and posted a .969 serve reception percentage in the six matches. She registered 30 digs in a five-game loss to Baker (KS) at the Lindenwood tourney.
