Storm Garners Women's DI Basketball POW Recognition
University of St. Francis sophomore guard Jacqie Storm (Orland Park, Ill.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Division I Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending December 23.
Storm averaged 14.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in a week that saw the Lady Saints split their two decisions, defeating Judson University, 71-65, on Tuesday before dropping a 71-50 decision to NAIA II No. 3-ranked University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday.
In the first game, Storm posted a solid all-around game recording 21 points, six rebounds and five assists. One night later, she turned in a career-high 12 rebounds to go along with seven points and one block.
The 1-1 week left Storm and USF at 8-6 overall heading into the Christmas break.
