What if I waive insurance then my current insurance company later drops me?

If you lose your current insurance you may acquire the university health insurance, however, there is a previous condition exclusion contained within this policy.

Can I use my current doctor using this insurance?

Yes, you do not need to use pre-selected medical providers. You are free to choose your own medical provider (Doctor).

When will I receive my medical insurance card?

Cards are being processed right now and will be available by November 6 th for those of you taking insurance beginning the fall term. From the time you enter the insurance as a new member, it will take 2 – 3 weeks to produce your card. You can, however, acquire a temporary insurance card until your permanent card arrives.

Where can I acquire a temporary insurance card?

You can get a replacement insurance card at the Chickering/Aetna Navigator web site.

Do I need to complete a claim form for medical services?

You will not need to complete a claim form in order for your medical provider to be paid.

What are the benefits provided by this insurance?

The maximum limit of insurance provided is $25,000. There are some limitations within the policy such as previous conditions and maximum payment of certain services. Please review the insurance benefit information located on the Chickering and USF web site.
