STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE WAIVER PROCESS
The University of St Francis requires full-time undergraduate students to have health insurance, both to protect against unexpected high medical costs and provide access to quality care. This site contains information about the requirements of the USF plan. We have provided additional information under “health insurance benefits”.
Waiver provisions:
The University of St. Francis requires you to waive the school-sponsored insurance plan each year. Make sure you are not left without appropriate health coverage – it could hinder your academic progress. Please take a moment to review the insurance offering to help you make an informed decision.
You may waive coverage under this plan if you have health insurance that is equal to the university offered plan. You will need to provide information about your coverage. An accepted waiver applies to the entire academic year during which it is filed.
IMPORTANT: If you do not waive coverage, you will be automatically enrolled in the University of St Francis plan and charged the applicable premium. Once you are enrolled, the coverage cannot be cancelled for the duration of the academic year.
Eligibility CriteriaFull Time Undergraduate student at the Joliet campus.
