To see the enhancements in the 7.x version of SGASTDN, let’s first look at the previous 6.x:

Notice that SGASTDN 7’s General Learner Section contains the same information that is highlighted on the above screenshot of SGASTDN 6.x.

Banner 7 contains a new Curricula Summary Block which is based on the following fields on SGASTDN 6.x:

This Banner 7.x screenshot shows the Primary Curriculum for the student. By using the scroll bar, you can view the Secondary Curriculum also.

Curricula Tab– What’s behind this Tab?

The data that was a part of the SGASTDN in Banner 6 has been separated into Learner, Curricula and Field of Study in Banner 7.
The Curriculum continues to include the program, catalog term, degree and admit type information.
The majors, minors and concentrations are now part of the Field of Study and are linked by program to the Curriculum.

If you want to see more information or change/update a student’s curricula, then you can select the Curricula Tab on SGASTDN.

Curriculum Block – Look at These Fields

Current field: The Curricular block keeps a history of changes and indicates a current record by having a "Y" in the current field. "N" in the current field means the record is NOT current.
Priority field: The first curriculum is assigned Priority 1. A second curriculum is assigned Priority 2.
Activity field: The options are ACTIVE or INACTIVE for the Learner Curriculum. The combination of a current indicator of Y and an ACTIVE Activity code means a current record for the student.
