TPM / Maintenance Champion

Design, develop, implement, and lead Total Productive Manufacturing program within US manufacturing facility and develop program globally. Provide leadership and vision to maintenance department within manufacturing facility in support of a 24/7 operation. Objectives of program and department:

o        Design TPM environment based on traditional JIPM methodology

o        Cdeddereate program for long-term sustainability and success

o        Reduce MRO inventory by $625K for 2004

o        Redesign training and certification maintenance program

 

 

Merisant US, Incorporated, Manteno, Illinois                       July 2002 to February 2004

North America Logistics Manager 

Manage distribution of finished product throughout North America and replenishment of raw materials for manufacturing facility. Developed logistics planning processes and JIT system in support of transitioning to a lean manufacturing environment. Supervised staff of two management professionals, two analysts, and 15 hourly personnel in the US, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Oversee 3rd Party Logistics operation and contract management.

o        Reduced logistics operations costs through creative and flexible design by $3.7M.

o        Implemented operational procedure for global trade resulting in $400K in expense avoidance.

o        Reduced inventory turns of finished goods by 4 days.

o        Established resource management and performance reports and processes.

        Managed distribution of customer orders throughout the United States. Integrated operating systems via EDI reducing order-processing time in half.  Supervised staff of two analysts
