Dr. James Haefner
Associate Professor of Marketing

Jim Haefner received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Marketing from De Paul University and his MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Professor Haefner will be teaching for first time at the University of St. Francis in the Fall of 2005.

Jim spent a number of years at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign where he was a Professor and later head of the Department of Advertising. The Department was consistently ranked first in academic standing by US News and World Report.

He has also taught at De Paul, Dominican, and North Park Universities. Professor Haefner has also taught several seminars in Finland and the Czech Republic.

Over the years Professor Haefner has consulted with a number of packaged goods and business-to-business enterprises. He has also worked with nonprofit groups many of which were in the health care area. Clients have included General Electric, Ace Hardware, Caterpillar, Pillsbury, Casa Centrale, I 80/90 Tourism Development Commission, , Oshkosh B’ Gosh Clothing, Honeywell, Super 8 Motels, United Stationers, Rhea & Kaiser Advertising, and Ross Advertising.
