I've been teaching at the University of St. Francis since 1992 and began my teaching career in 1979. Classes that I am likely to teach are Accounting I and II, Cost Accounting I and II, Taxes I and II, Advanced Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis and Principles of Finance. My education and professional background provide me with "real world" applications which breath life into the subject matter.
My undergraduate degree is from the University of Arizona and a Masters of Science with an emphasis in Taxation is from Northern Illinois University. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with an Accounting Concentration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
One could probably say that accounting is my vocation and avocation. I enjoy my field and find it very exciting. As a teacher, I find my greatest rewards when a student has developed an understanding of accounting and he or she is able to apply what he or she has learned.
My husband Tony and I have been married since 1976. We are the proud parents of Anne, Paul and Mary. We are active in our children's activities which include competitive dance and professional dance education, soccer and basketball. When there is a moment for some free time, I enjoy reading, working with her flowers, swimming in the summer and attending USF basketball games with my family.
