CURRENT POSITION:

 Professor of Accounting, College of Business, since 2003. University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL.  Teach undergraduate courses in accounting and the Core curriculum including: Financial, Managerial, Intermediate I & II, Taxes I & II, Auditing, International, Accounting research, Core I (Speech).  Advise students regarding their accounting major and supervise internships. Recent positions include: Chair of Executive committee and Academic Assembly, Faculty representative to the Business affairs committee of the board of trustees, Co-chair Catholic/Franciscan Identity Task Force; Retention committee, Health arts advisory board, Academic resource center advisory board.

Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, Summer 2002.  Direct responsibility for all colleges, registrar, library, and student and faculty academic support areas.

Department chair responsibilities included supervising seven faculty, budgeting, scheduling, curriculum development, staffing and recruitment.

 Professional Experience

 Private practice, 1983-present.  Provide tax services to individuals.

 Illinois Valve and Fittings Corp., Controller, 1981-83.

            Acted in the capacity of chief financial officer for this national distributor of tubular steel products.  Had full responsibility for cash management, credit and collection, internal control, financial reporting, banking relationships, staffing and supervising the accounting department, and all audits.  Maintained administrative contact with three branch offices and assisted in hiring personnel throughout the company.  Responsible for the selection and installation of and conversion to a minicomputer system.

 PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Consultant, auditor, 1978-81.

            Consultant: Reviewed numerous client accounting internal control and budgeting systems.  Auditor: Assisted in the performance of independent audits of numerous manufacturing, distribution, governmental and service clients, evaluating internal controls and testing procedures and account balances.
