Playing out of position proved beneficial for University of St. Francis' Sam Robinson (Chicago, Ill.) this past week as the senior forward earned Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Division I Player of the Week accolades after posting a pair of double-doubles in split decisions for the Saints during the week ending November 9.
Robinson averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, while shooting an impressive .714 from the field (15-of-21) in the two games.
He opened the week with an 18-point, 10-rebound performance in an 81-60 loss to NAIA No. 23-ranked University of Illinois Springfield on Nov. 5 and then totaled 21 points and 11 rebounds in an 84-61 decision over Purdue University Calumet (Ind.) on Nov. 8. In the latter game, Robinson shot 75 percent from the field converting nine of his 12 attempts.
USF's 1-1 record for the week put its overall mark at 2-1.
