Teaching with Learning Objects
Learning objects are used to:
- teach a basic concept
- to apply basic concepts in "real world" applications
- to test mastery
- to provide simulation
- to give remedial instruction
They are incorporated into:
- online courses
- PowerPoint presentations
- web pages
- cd-rom - based materials
- resources in the classroom or computer lab
Faculty have the option of:
- linking to a learning object from any of the repositories that contain completed learning objects
- creating a custom learning object with the assistance of one of CID's instructional designers
