On your left are links to recently released (2004-'08) historically-based films, which have commentary about their historical content. . Why no commentary on films before 2004? Mostly because the column began in early 2004, and only new releases were reviewed. But when time permits, pre-2004 films may also get the "History in the Movies" treatment. So, check back occasionally! The commentary comes from Cathy Schultz's syndicated "History in the Movies" column which has appeared in newspapers nationally, including the Chicago Sun-Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Dayton Daily News, the Providence Journal, and many others. |
