History of Tsunamis in Japan

This webpage discusses the history of tsunamis in Japan.  The first section, "Why Japan?" illustrates why tsunmais occur in Japan and how they are a permanent characteristic.  In the section on how we detect tsunamis, the Japan Meteorological Agency is discussed and their importance in the prevention of tsunamis in Japan. The section on the history of tsunamis describes particular incidents and the damage done by each.  Given the data, a future outlook can be determined on whether or not tsunamis in Japan will continue.  The last section gives the resources I used to create this webpage.
