Health Arts

During the 2002-2003 academic year, the Center for the Study of Contemporary Ethics focused on the topic of biomedical ethics. A call for papers was put out. Health Arts students enrolled in the Ethics and Morality course were invited to submit a paper on a subject related to biomedical ethics. Papers were judged by a panel of faculty and administrators.

Maureen Capetta was awarded first place for her paper entitled "Ethical Discussion About Embryonic Stem Cell Research". Second place went to Sharon Clough for her essay on "Cloning: Ethical or Immoral?" Sandra Jensen won third prize for her paper on "Ethical Issues Concerning Organ Procurement for Organ Transplantation."
