Saints Club

Dear USF Athletic Alum,

We accomplished a feat in the athletic arena that only a handful of American collegiate athletic programs have ever achieved. In a 19-year period, our men and women’s teams participated in 60 NAIA National Tournaments. That was an extraordinary achievement that each of you should look back on with great pride. With the return to USF of the greatest coach in America, Gordie Gillespie,we will continue to strive to reach this level of athletic excellence.

You should be equally proud of the fact that we achieved this athletic excellence the right way! Our athletes have always been student-athletes, validated by the fact that 9.2 of every 10 seniors who played here in the past 21 years have earned their degrees.

You, as an athlete, truly set the tone for a model collegiate athletic program. But, you did not stop there. As alumni, you have continued to allow us to serve our current student-athletes in the best manner possible. You have contributed $108,980 in the past five years to the Saints Club. When we include the other events that you have supported – Brown & Gold, the Golf Outing, and Mike Brennan and Ron Kenny’s contributing to the Pat Quigley naming of the Recreation Center Court – you have given $290,362 to your university in the past five years.

Please see the fruits of your labor (left). Our 26-seat minibus has certainly enhanced safety of travel for our 15 intercollegiate teams and the $100,000 renovation of our fitness center does rival Chicago’s famed East Bank Club in terms of ambiance and quality of equipment. Thank you so much for all you have done and continue to do for us.

Sincerely,
Pat Sullivan, Athletic Chairman
