Caritas one of the area’s oldest black-tie balls celebrates its 50th anniversary, having raised more than $2.5 million for scholarships and programs at USF. Caritas 2007 will feature a retrospective of past events. The Dan Hayes Orchestra and USF’s own computerized auction of must-have items. Golden Memories will be chaired by George and Donna Barr, with honorary chairs LaVerne and Dorothy Brown; all promise a most memorable event. For reservations, call (815)740-3826.
Brown and Gold is the yearly banquet celebrating the achievements of the Saints sports teams. In keeping with the St. Francis philosophy that excellence is expressed through academics and athletics, proceeds benefit students in the classroom as well as on the field.
The Spirit of Christmas: Each year, the Edge, WCSF 88.7, broadcasts Christmas music 24 hours a day between Thanksgiving and New Year's on the FM radio band and over the Internet. Sponsorships from area businesses provide funds to support Mass Communications education at USF.
Homecoming Reunion is an annual pilgrimage to the Joliet campus of alumni from every St. Francis location across the country. Graduates from Assisi Junior College, the College of St. Francis, St. Joseph College of Nursing, and the University of St. Francis gather for concerts, sporting events, cultural activities, and awards ceremonies.
