Goals for the Office of Institutional Diversity

• GOAL 1 - Create a hospitable campus climate espousing diversity for students, faculty, staff and the community.
  
  
• GOAl 2 - Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs for students, faculty and staff that include cross-cultural competence, legal issues, best practices and relevant research for the purpose of promoting better understanding and appreciation of diversity and individual differences.
  
  
• GOAL 3 - Advocate a recruitment plan that will increase the percentage of diverse undergraduate students, faculty and staff by fall of 2007 by 10%.
  
  
• GOAL 4 - Champion internal and external research, collaborations, and partnerships with community businesses and organizations.
  
  
• GOAL 5 - Promote accountability: design and implement a continuous improvement process as part of the university strategic plan.
