Scholars (two-year) Program :
- To be eligible to apply for the Fellows program, you must qualify as a Trustee or Presidential Scholar. (Contact USF Admissions or your USF admissions counselor to see if you qualify at 800-735-7500 or 815-740-3400 or by email at admissions@stfrancis.edu ).
- Current students may apply at the end of their first semester if they expect to have a cumulative 3.25 GPA and if they have a recommendation from a USF faculty member.
- Current students may apply at the end of their sophomore year. Applicants must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA.
- Transfer students may apply when they gain admission if they will be junior status. Applicants must have a 3.25 cumulative GPA from their prior institutions.
Application Procedures:
- Fill out the application form for the Duns Scotus Fellows program:
- Write a 2-4 page essay answering a question that we will pose. If you are a prospective freshman, the questions will be mailed out to you in January as part of the scholarship competition. If you are a transfer or continuing USF student, the question is on the application form.
- Submit the essay with a statement of your interest in the program to your admissions counselor (continuing students should contact the co-directors of the program, Lisa Hedrick or Scott Marshall )
- After your essay and admission file are reviewed,we will be in touch to arrange an on campus interview (or a phone interview if distance makes it impossible to come to campus).
