This is my fourteenth year at the University
of St. Francis. My present position is Professor of Education
teaching History and Philosophy of Education and Teaching
in a Diverse Society for both graduate and undergraduate students.
I am also very involved in promoting character education in
the schools by writing books and giving in-services to teachers.
I hope you find interesting information on my home page regarding
my teaching, research, service to the community and my personal
hobbies.
My most recent experience as a Chicago
public school teacher was teaching a 5th grade Bilingual class
at Seward Elementary School. Previous to that I taught Spanish
as a Second Language to elementary students (grades K-6) at
the Robichaux Language Academy and The Poe Gifted Center and
taught Spanish to high school students at South Shore High School
and Harlan High school. My first teaching experience was teaching
Spanish at the Willows Academy, a private school grades 6-12.
Previous to coming to USF, I worked three years at Aurora
University in the Education Department and ten years at
Lexington Institute (now Lexington College) where I worked
in many different administrative positions, including Dean
of the College and taught philosophy and ethics classes.
