I have try make myself available through:

Service to the University,

Service to the College of Education,

Service to the Profession, and

Service to the Community

My service to the university includes membership on the Faculty Affairs Committee (2007), Budget and Planning Committee (2006), Executive Committee (2003-2005), and Chair of the Teaching and Professional Growth Committee (2003-2005), .Working as Chair of the Teaching & Professional Growth Committee is very time consuming but rewarding as we provide faculty development for the faculty. I planned two Faculty In-Service Days (2003 & 2004), and two New Faculty Orientation days (2003 & 2004). I work with committee members to coordinate the "Brown Bag Lunch seminars, mentor the new-faculty and provide professional development luncheons and breakfasts.

I also work with the Admissions Department attending open houses, and having prospective students sit in on my classes. I serve and support Student Services by taking students on Culture Van outings, attending student concerts and plays, and assisting University Ministry in their retreats and events. My goal is to attend more athletic events, especially when I have student athletes in my classes.
