Provost
The University of St. Francis is a private, independent Catholic, Franciscan institution located 40 miles southwest of Chicago in the fastest-growing county in Illinois . University of St. Francis offers programs in the liberal arts and sciences, in professional, pre-professional, and career areas at the undergraduate and graduate levels serving a traditional undergraduate population in residential housing as well as adults.

The provost will have an earned doctorate; understanding of and respect for Catholic Franciscan traditions and values; evidence of achievement in teaching and scholarship; experience at the dean's level or above; commitment to fostering interdisciplinary connections; values and understands student development and the strong relationship between academics and student affairs; demonstrated effectiveness in strategic planning, budgeting, outcomes assessment; administration of academic programs and academic support areas; understanding of the role of technology in learning and ability to provide leadership in integrating it into the educational process; demonstrated effectiveness in creating an institutional environment supportive of people of diverse backgrounds; ability to foster intellectual community and provide creative leadership to s diverse and talented faculty; and an understanding and respect for shared governance.
