Assistant/Associate Professor, Management (PROFMGT)
College of Business
The University of St. Francis, a Catholic, Franciscan institution in Joliet, IL, invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Management to start in August, 2007. USF offers undergraduate and graduate programs serving traditional-aged and adult students through a variety of learning formats. The university is located in one of the fastest growing areas in northeastern Illinois, and offers excellent recreational opportunities with access to the rich resources of the Chicago area. For all positions a terminal degree is required, along with position-specific requirements, strong communication and computer skills, and a willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university.
The College of Business seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor in Management. This tenure-track Position will start August 2007. The College of Business is a member of the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Responsibilities include: Teaching management courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (MBA), such as management and organizational behavior, corporate communications, human resource management, business and society, business strategy, organization development, entrepreneurship, international business, supervisory management, operations management and business research; advising students and maintaining a high level of professional activity and service.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidacy (ABD) for the Ph.D. or DBA in management or related field, and a willingness to respect the Catholic and Franciscan values of the university.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidate has a Ph.D. or DBA in management. Previous experence teaching in a secondary area such as economics or marketing. Previous experence teaching with technology. Previous experence teaching on-line courses. Established record of research and publication and/or experience in the corporate sector or consulting.
