Faculty Positions

 

     

POSITION:

Assistant or Associate Professor,
Master of Social Work

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teach macro practice in the advanced generalist practice component of the graduate program and develop accreditation and curriculum materials related to our advanced generalist practice curriculum. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and teach advanced macro practice in the areas of expertise;
  • Incorporate diversity into the curriculum;
  • Engage in research or scholarly study;
  • Contribute to the growth and development of a diverse student body; and
  • Serve the university and community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ph.D./DSW in social work or related field. ABD will be considered. Successful ABD candidate will be required to complete doctorate by August 15, 2008;
  • MSW degree from a CWSE accredited school required;
  • Minimum of two years of clinical social work practice experience;
  • Experience in adult education or training and/or teaching graduate and undergraduate social work; and;
  • Knowledge of multicultural social work practice and experience with diverse populations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of CSWE accreditation process; skills in using educational technology, including experience developing on-line courses and/or teaching on-line classes.
