With the ending of one century and entering into another century, a new sound
of music was produced in New Orleans.  The people were changing.
New laws, prohibition, and illegal activities took place
within the communities.  Music was on the rise
and women's fashion became risque.
 

Jazz is a style of music, native to america, characterized by a strong but
flexible rhythmaic understructure with solo and ensemble
improvisations on basic tunes and chord patternsand,
a highly sophisticated harmonic idiom.
