"Faun's flesh"

Lines 17 - 26 read:

Faun's flesh is not to us,

Nor the saint's vision.

We have the press for wafer,

Franchise for circumcision.

It seems that # is making the claim that in modern society we no longer have any religion -- pagan or Christian. The truths once received through communion (wafer), a ritual in both pagan and Christian worship, are now, claims #, found in the pages of newspapers. Man's promise to God (circumcision) is now achieved through commerce.
