Tin Wreath

Why tin??

Tin, by definition can be regarded as worthless or counterfeit. It is also often used to plate or coat other metals (Webster).

# is desparately searching for someone whom he can admire, someone to place a laurel wreath upon, a hero.

By offering a "tin wreath," it is clear that # doesn't believe that anyone exists who is deserving of laurels.

Only an imitation of a laurel wreath will suffice for, at best, an imitation of a hero.
