As we all know, the summer is one of the best
times of the year to see a movie because:
(a)
you can see a matinee for cheap during the day, and
(b) some of the best movies are released
during the dog days of summer.

One day my friend Kati and I were driving when “Cupids Chokehold” by Gym Class Heroes came on. We both listened diligently, since we had both only heard the song a few times. “Take a look at my girlfriend, she's the only one I got. Not much of a girlfriend. I never seem to get a lot.” That chorus sounded so familiar, but it was only the second or third time we had heard the song. It was so familiar, yet neither one of us could determine where we knew it from.

Thespians pull off a "Grand Night" for all |

Putting on a musical is tough.
Putting on a musical that combines selections from many of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musicals in under 80 minutes is impressive.
The Sometimes Thespians pulled it off with their performance A Grand Night for Singing, a cabaret-style revue that covered a wide range of musical styles.
Each of the six actors had a chance to shine in their solo pieces and also during some fantastic ensemble numbers. [MORE] |

Ah, summertime... the weather warmed up, finals are finally over, and you've got the next three months ahead of you to relax.
However, even relaxation can get a little, well, boring after awhile.
