During 2005-2006, the average gift assistance package for a transfer student was $8,523. Of the $1.6 million dollars in gift assistance from all sources, 71 percent came from USF. That's the kind of commitment we're talking about.USF participates in federal and state programs also. To supplement gift assistance awards and family contribution, many students borrow to help pay their educational costs. USF participates in the Federal Direct Student Loan Program, the Carl D. Perkins Program and other select Alternative Loans from private lenders. This, in combination with USF's convenient 10-Pay Plan makes it easy to find the method that will best suit your own personal situation.
