Dr. Schultz has taught at the University of St. Francis since 1995. She currently
holds the rank of Professor of History and Chair of the History and Political
Science Department.
In February, 2004, her History in the Movies column began running in the Joliet Herald News. The column is now syndicated
nationally, with a combined readership of well over a million readers. It has
appeared in the Chicago Sun-Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Daily Southtown, and many other newspapers.
Dr. Schultz has been interviewed in Entertainment Weekly, Parade magazine,
France's Epok magazine, and other national and international
magazines.
Dr. Schultz has won a Pew Fellowship,
as well as a Dissertation
Fellowship from the Philadelphia Center for Early American Studies.
In 2004, she received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the University of St. Francis.
