National Institute of Corrections
An agency within the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. Provides
training, technical assistance, information services, and policy/program development
assistance to federal, state, and local correctional agencies. Includes a library area that
provides research assistance and free access to information in the areas of corrections.
Federal Bureau of Prisons – Office of Research and Evaluation
Bureau is responsible for the custody and care or federal prisoners. The Research and
Evaluation Office offers full text articles on a variety of correctional topics.

Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority
Provides access to the latest criminal justice news and information. CJ DataNet is an internet clearinghouse of data for the State of Illinois and covers corrections, juvenile justice, courts and sentencing, prosecution, risk factors (poverty, child abuse, unemployment, etc.) and criminal record systems.
