On-campus students:
- On-campus students may order books and articles not in the USF collection and must pick up materials at the Library's Circulation Counter.
- The Interlibrary Loan Department will not fax articles or mail books to students taking classes at the main campus.
- Limit of 5 requests at one time.
Distance students:
- Books or journal articles that are available in the USF library can be mailed to distance students upon request.
- Distance students may order journal articles that are not already available in our full-text databases (InfoTrac SearchBank, ProQuest, FirstSearch's WilsonSelect) or that are not available in-house.
- Distance students may order books that are not available via the USF library collection. First check to see if books are available from one of the 64 other libraries represented in the ILLINET Online catalog. If the book is available through ILLINET Online, use the catalog's REQUEST feature (click here for more information). If books are not available via ILLINET Online, use Interlibrary Loan to request them. Please be aware that in all cases, books will come to USF first, then be shipped out via UPS. Students are responsible for return postage. If a book is needed quickly, distance students may wish to explore ILL options via their local public library.
- Limit of 5 requests at one time.
Faculty / Staff:
- Faculty and staff are able to use Interlibrary Loan services. On- campus faculty / staff should follow the same guidelines as on-campus students and distance faculty the same guidelines as distance students.
Alumni:
- Interlibrary Loan services are not available to alumni at the present time. Alumni are always welcome to visit and check out materials that we own.
