An annual index to the New York Times.

PAIS: 1965 - Present
A selective list of books, articles and other literature in the areas of business, economics, social conditions, public policy / administration and international relations.

Social Sciences Index: 1949-Present 
Index to 400+ international, English-language periodicals in sociology, anthropology, geography, economics, political science, and law. Records describe feature articles, biographical sketches, interviews, obituaries, scholarly replies, and book reviews longer than one-half page. A separate section for book reviews is included at the end of each volume. Updated quarterly.

National Archives and Records Administration

Archiving Early America 
This site is an archive for newspapers, maps, magazines and writing from 18th century America. Included are the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and many more documents in full-text. 

Douglass: Archives of American Public Address 
Full-text of American speeches dating from the 18th century to modern times.  Search by speaker, speech title, chronologically, or by subject. 

American Memory Project--Words and Deeds in American History 
Scanned images of over 90 historical documents from the 15th to the mid-20th century.  Each image is accompanied by a complete explanation. 

The African American Mosaic 
Put out by the Library of Congress, this is a resource guide for the study of black history and culture featuring images and texts from LC.

Open Collections Program

In the First Person
From Alexander Street Press, this is a searchable index to the primary sources (letters, diaries, oral histories, and personal narratives) that are available on the Web. Descriptive entries include URLs to link to the resources. More than 2500 collections are currently indexed, with more being added daily.

Internet Modern History Sourcebook
Hosted by Fordham University, this resource contains thousands of full text and multimedia sources for the study of history. Collections are grouped together by time period, event or location.

Eighteenth-Century History Resources

Additional War Resources

Veteran's History Project (Library of Congress)
Audio and video collections focus on first hand accounts of U.S. veterans of the following wars: World War I (1914-1920), World War II (1939-1946), Korean War (1950-1955), Vietnam War (1961-1975), Persian Gulf War (1990-1995), and the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts (2001-present). Links to additional oral history sites are also provided.

Truman & Eisenhower - Koran War (1950-1953)
